How to create and assign tasks
Introduction
Tasks are essential elements of any project. Creating and assigning tasks helps organize work and delegate responsibilities among team members.
Steps
Step 1: Access the project
Access the Projects application.
Select the project in which you want to create tasks.
Step 2: Create a task
In the project, locate the New Task button at the top right.
Click on New Task to access the task creation menu.
Step 3: Enter the task details
Title: enter a descriptive title for the task.
Description: add the necessary details and/or instructions.
Status: set the status of the task (e.g., Pending, To Do, In Progress).
Assignee: assign the task to a team member by selecting their name.
Priority: choose the level of priority (High, Medium, Low).
Points: for agile estimation, choose the appropriate “story points.”
Labels: add labels to categorize the task.
Start and Due Date: set the start and end dates using the built-in calendar.
Step 4: Save the task
Verify the task details.
Click on Create Task to add it to the project.
Step 5: Notify the assignee
The designated team member will receive a notification regarding the new task.
