Hannibal, Privacy & Data Usage

Last Updated on 02 February 2026
Hannibal is designed to help you work smarter without compromising privacy or security.
All AI features in Cynoia respect your workspace rules, permissions, and data boundaries.
You always stay in control of what gets generated, shared, or saved.
How Hannibal Uses Your Data
Hannibal only works with content you explicitly interact with.
This includes:
Text you select or write
The task, note, or chat you are currently viewing
Project data you already have access to
Hannibal does not:
Automatically scan your entire workspace
Modify content without confirmation
Access private data outside your permissions
No Automatic Changes
All AI-generated content is:
Shown as a preview
Inserted only after your approval
Fully editable before saving
Nothing is posted, updated, or shared automatically.
Permissions Always Apply
Hannibal respects Cynoia’s permission system.
This means:
If you cannot view a project, Hannibal cannot summarize it
If you don’t have access to a note, Hannibal won’t reference it
Resource-level permissions override global roles
Hannibal never bypasses access rules.
Data Isolation & Workspace Boundaries
Each workspace is isolated.
Hannibal:
Only works within your current workspace
Cannot access other organizations
Cannot mix data between workspaces
This ensures confidentiality between teams and companies.
AI Suggestions vs User Actions
Important distinction:
Hannibal suggests
Users decide
You can:
Reject it entirely
Ask for refinements
AI assistance is always optional.
Security Best Practices
We recommend:
Reviewing AI-generated content before sharing
Avoiding sensitive information in public notes
Using proper roles and permissions
Keeping 2FA enabled on your account
Transparency & Control
Cynoia is committed to:
Clear AI usage
User control over content
Respecting privacy and security standards
AI features evolve, but core privacy principles remain unchanged.
