Sometimes, a written explanation takes too long or lacks nuances. For those moments, Cynoia lets you record and send voice notes directly within your channels and direct messages, without leaving the app.
How to record a voice note
Open a channel or a direct message (DM) in the Chat app.
In the message input field, click on the Microphone icon.
Note: On your first use, your browser will ask for permission to access your microphone. Click on "Allow".
Recording starts immediately. A visual wave and a timer appear to show you the duration.
Once done, click the send button to share the voice note with your team.
Listen to and manage voice notes
Channel members can listen to the voice note directly from the discussion feed.
You can adjust the playback speed (e.g., x1.5 or x2) to save time when listening to long messages.
Best practices
Be concise: Keep your voice notes short and direct to respect your colleagues' time.
Use text for actions: If your voice note contains a to-do list, consider creating a task or adding a brief written summary so the information remains easily accessible via the search bar.
